Nice to Meet You

Hi everyone! Thanks for reading my second post on A Spoonful of Teaching! This is a cliche post about the author- me. Let's get started... Basically, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher (except for the year-long phase where I wanted to be a fashion designer). I was the kid that when I had friends over, we had to play school and I had to be the teacher. My mom used to teach dance and tumbling to little kids and throughout my teenage years I loved helping her teach. My senior year of high school I had a unique experience with an elementary school in the district. Every day during my senior year, I left my high school at 10:45 to be a “teacher intern” in a third grade classroom. Two amazing things about this: 1. Hello everyone! Welcome to A Spoonful of Teaching-- a blog about all things education with a sprinkle of Disney magic. Because this is my first blog post, I wanted to share a little about why I’ve created this blog.  Creating a blog has always been a dream of mine because I enjoy sharing my teaching experience with others. Reading other education blogs always inspires me to share my outlook on things. Also, I love to design my own resources for my classroom and having a blog is an easy way to share my resources with others!  Lucky for you, this blog is a two-for-one deal. How? Because not only are you reading about the wonderful world of teaching, but also browsing other posts about the wonderful world of Disney! While I am education-obsessed, I have always been Disney-obsessed. I’ve traveled to Walt Disney World multiple times and I adore sharing my “travel tips” with others.  My hope is that you continue to follow my blog as I post about my two favorite thing...
